Local Schools

There are quite a few schools in Bingley and all of them seem pretty good. Due to the high birth rate in recent years there have been some difficulties in finding school places, though this should hopefully be alleviated by the extension work done on some schools and plans to increase the number of places. Here is a list of all the Primary Schools in Bingley with contact information and as many details as I could muster! If you have anything to add please leave a comment below.

Crossflatts Primary School
This is a two form entry school with nursery in Bingley.  A 2009 Ofsted inspection judged this school as good.

Bingley Mum Sara says, “Crossflatts Primary takes quite a few special needs children and has a dedicated Autism centre.”

2013 SATs showed 76% of year 6 children achieving level 4 in Maths, Reading and Writing combined.

Eldwick Primary School
This is a two form entry school with nursery on Warren Lane in Bingley.  A 2010 Ofsted inspection judged this school as good.

Note – from September 2014 Reception will be taking on 75 children making this 2.5 entry.

2013 SATs showed 90% of year 6 children achieving level 4 or above  in Maths, Reading and Writing combined.

Harden Primary School
This is a one form entry within reasonable distance of Bingley. A 2010 Ofsted inspection judged this school as good.

2013 SATs showed 97% of year 6 children achieving level 4 or above in Maths, Reading and Writing combined.

This is a fee paying school off Park Road in Bingley.
Unable to find Ofsted or SATS information.

Myrtle Park Primary School
This is a one form entry school with nursery near to the centre of Bingley.  A 2013 Ofsted inspection judged this school as good.

2013 SATs showed 82% of year 6 children achieving level 4 or above in Maths, Reading and Writing combined.

Priestthorpe Primary School
This is a one form entry school with nursery near to the centre of Bingley.  A 2012 Ofsted inspection judged this school as requiring improvement.

2013 SATs showed 72% of year 6 children achieving level 4 or above in Maths, Reading and Writing combined.

St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School
This is a one form entry school on Crow Nest Road close to the centre of Bingley.  A 2008 Ofsted inspection judged this school as outstanding. This school has its own admissions policy which gives priority to baptised Catholic children.

2013 SATs showed 100% of year 6 children achieving level 4 or above in Maths, Reading and Writing combined.
